It is a lot of weight, I am also very obese. By this rate it takes about 1.5 years to get into healthy weight area.
Are you training with someone knowledgeable that can help you with diet and exercises?
Hope you can obtain results that you wish for!
Just a note, every pound is harder to lose than the last. You're doing great and you've taken the most important first step, but you will likely have to keep readjusting your efforts consistently if you're expecting the graph to stay linear.
A lot of it's water weight in the first few weeks. And it's all relative. I lost 1-1,5kg a week in the beginning but now I'm losing far less.
If that weight isn't just the initial water weight loss, that's a lot of weight to lose in a month. Congratulations with a successful month 🙂, but be careful to not overreach. If you're planning to train and build muscle while dieting, you shouldn't be too aggressive with the caloric deficit.
If you are comfortable with you current diet, you shouldn't change your diet. Unless you enjoy the keto diet, it won't do you any good. At best you keep your weight loss, at worst the diet throws you off course, so there's little to gain with a keto diet. Calories in vs calories out will always be king.
100% this. Diets shmiets, the quantity you eat is what's going to affect your mass. A lot of those diets naturally reduce your calorie intake which is why they work, but most people just eat more to compensate which makes it ineffective
