There it is. I knew there was a reason

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 110 points 4 months ago

This is just one of many reasons, for example

The FAA head pushed out by Musk before all the planes started crashing had fairly recently fined spaceX for safety issues.

It's just pettiness and entitlement. He's going after everyone who has ever said no to him.

[–] LostWon@lemmy.ca 86 points 4 months ago (3 children)

I could have sworn at least 3 of the companies he pretends to run were under investigation by different agencies.

[–] MrVilliam@lemm.ee 46 points 4 months ago (6 children)

This, starlink regarding Russia invading Ukraine, and I'm gonna guess spacex regarding government contracts? Idk about that 3rd one being investigated but it's definitely one of the many conflicts of interest.

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 35 points 4 months ago (1 children)

tesla has been investigated, as well.. so tesla, neuralink, boring, spacex and starlink.. old spice himself, x(sh)itter would be, his current government work would be...

so pretty much every fucking thing that elon musk has paw prints on is investigated or would be.

[–] takeda@lemm.ee 5 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I think boring company wasn't...

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Were they drilling tunnels for trains in California which never materialized?

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 11 points 4 months ago

that was his scam, he was afraid of CALIFORNIA developing thier high speed rail way system, so he came up with the hyperloop scam so he can force california to abandon it, furthermore they tried again when trump was in power the 1st time, Elaine chao(lich mcconnels wife, blocked all funding for it)

[–] LostWon@lemmy.ca 9 points 4 months ago

Yeah, it's probably those conflicts of interest I had in mind.

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 8 points 4 months ago

space x being investigated for dumping illegally around the sites.

That's what he'll target next, of course. These "geniuses" are so dumb and predictable.

[–] BigMacHole@lemm.ee 75 points 4 months ago

So? Elon Musk illegally FIRING Government Employees investigating his businesses is NOTHING compared to HUNTER BIDEN getting a JOB in CHYNA!

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 56 points 4 months ago (1 children)

This was all it was about the whole time. The executive branch has been outright bought so Musk can avoid consequences for his businesses' questionable-at-best ethics.

[–] freddydunningkruger@lemmy.world 14 points 4 months ago

Just wait until NASA issues another contract to SpaceX so they can blow up another $5 billion in taxpayer dollars

Isn’t that the place where fElons go?

[–] DJDarren@sopuli.xyz 10 points 4 months ago

No, some of them become president.

[–] Olhonestjim@lemmy.world 12 points 4 months ago

Too easy for the rich to get out. Bring out the guillotines.

[–] simplejack@lemmy.world 51 points 4 months ago (2 children)

This shit is so fucking Russian. Blatantly corrupt.

[–] rottingleaf@lemmy.world 20 points 4 months ago (2 children)

With Russian shit you wouldn't hear of this, and the investigators wouldn't be very willing to do anything in the first place.

That you even hear about this is a sign of resilience of your system.

Like a canary that's dying, that is.

[–] Brumefey@sh.itjust.works 17 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Seems to me that the USA is quite close to having journalists / whistleblowers dying by suicide…

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 4 months ago

So close that it has happened multiple times.

[–] rottingleaf@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

I don't even mean that, just the fact that there is some outrage, you are normally talking about it, and parts of the government actually act as they are supposed to.

[–] waterSticksToMyBalls@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

Hmmm that's the 20th canary that's violently exploded this week...

conservative communities wont comment on this. They love massive conflict of interests. clowns.

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 3 points 4 months ago

because fox, right wing sources and russia will direct them to rage about culture wars instead, conservatives are not bright when it comes to thing like class warfare, luigi momentarily broke them out of thier "echo chambers". i onced followed a asian yotbers who was known right wing, but wasnt in your face pre-pandemic, everyone was cringed that his information is very outdated and dint know what to talk about when regard to policies.

Musk is a walking conflict of interest pos. So he just fires all the people that have a conflict with his agenda? The United States is fucked under this leadership.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 31 points 4 months ago

Nope. No conflict of interest there at all. ..

[–] 4shtonButcher@discuss.tchncs.de 28 points 4 months ago

Seems like "drain the swamp" turned into "put the swamp monster in charge, give it steroids and flood the forest"

[–] xenomor@lemmy.world 26 points 4 months ago

I think that this company needs to be burned to the ground.

[–] thisphuckinguy@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago
