Wondering if there any forums, irc chats, etc. dedicated to pirating software on Linux, not games.

Seems difficult to find most stuff. I've beeb able to find Davinici Resolve, which was suprisingly simple, just download officially than run a terminal command. Houdini was on vfxmed. (a slightly older version, but 20) But thats about the extent of what I've found, no autodesk programs or any other expensive software with monthly fees, like boris fx, maxon, etc.

Everything I'm looking for has linux versions, but the price altogether is too high for hobby stuff I use one month out of the year sporadically and will never make money off.

Have you checked software links from the megathread from the sidebar?

I know there's a lot of links, but that makes it all the more sure at least some of them will have what you're looking for.

See- now I would love to be able to run something like Autocad2000 (Yes I know it's OLD) on Linux. I learned Autocad for 2d drawings when I was young and still use it today. For modern 3d stuff, I use FreeCAD (open source). I design my own circuitboards and always find autocad more useful for this. This is why I run a dual boot linux/windows-7

Have you looked into KiCAD? It's FOSS and Linux-first.

Some Linux apps get cracked. The most recent that I've found which are mentioned in your post are the following: Autodesk.Arnold.MtoA.v5.4.5.0.for.Maya.2023-2025.Linux.x64-BONDYE Autodesk.Arnold.KtoA.v4.3.4.1.for.Katana.4.5-7.0.Linux.x64-BONDYE Autodesk.Arnold.HtoA.v6.3.4.1.for.Houdni.19.5-20.5.Linux.x64-BONDYE Autodesk.Arnold.C4DtoA.v4.7.7.1.for.Cinema.4D.2023-2025.Linux.x64-BONDYE Autodesk.Arnold.v7.3.4.1.Incl.SDK.Linux.x64-BONDYE Autodesk.Maya.v2025.Linux.x64-BTCRiSO

Obviously I won't give links but I imagine you can find them on IRC etc. Couldn't find Boris FX or Maxon releases.
