He’s the one who wanted to go hardball on Republicans and they couldn’t find anything to stick to him, as hard as they tried.
Dems can do worse and have done much worse.

Has my vote. He could win.
When will the DNC pull their heads out of their asses? If they won’t put forth any serious candidates, why bother?
Can you please just fucking not
We need someone who is actually going to make some changes, not another return to a milque toast centre right 70 year old white dude
Please fucking God no. It's like they actually want Republicans to win.
Idk who needs to hear this, but Tim Walz is pretty moderate and centrist. You're not going to unite the splintered left with Tim Walz.
The biggest barrier Democrats have is that left leaning voters are not going out and voting for them.
I really do think Tim Walz has a real chance. A very likeable guy.
Doesn't hurt that he's white and male, too.
Please do it
I guess I’m the only one against this idea. I’m not keen on candidates that have already lost running again. Get someone else up there to try.
Governor Walz, we need you protecting Minnesota as you have been. While you possibly being president would be the boost of democracy this country needs, my opinion is that you hold the fort exactly where you are.
What's become clear in American politics is that it doesn't matter if you hang a little to the left or a little to the right so long as you're not cleft down the center.
