This could be the real start to fusion power becoming reality. They keep breaking records at an increasingly faster and larger pace.

yeah I have been the type to sorta shrug my shoulders as seeming to be forever a way but I remember when seconds were a big deal and now we are closing in on half an hour. Starting to seem like a possibility.

We already have those. Hydrogen Bombs. A fission explosion creates such pressure to cause hydrogen atoms to fuse.

Well, if one country needs fusion reactors soon, it's France. Would be funny if they replaced their ancient fleet of NPP with FPP.
