Kind of redeemable if that is where they met.

Being real, there's a good chance they met there as co-workers or something and then management let them do this. It's actually pretty sweet if that's the case. (But I'm a hopeless romantic at heart, so don't take my word for it.)

There's something ironically wholesome about proposing in trashy locations. To me it says all they need is each other

And a constant flow of frozen dairy foods.

To those outside the midwest, this is basically the equivalent of proposing underneath the Eiffel Tower

Culver's is good shit. I'll let this one slide

Unflattering, but not inaccurate depending on the county

To be more precise, this is pure Wisconsin energy.

let people do as they wish. They're hurting no one. My version was way worse and we're still married 18 years later.

I had them many years ago when I visited WI, and thought they were pretty damn good for a fast food joint. They finally migrated down here to Florida, and I went and sat in the drive-thru for over an hour when they weren't even that busy, maybe 3 cars ahead of me, and the food was lackluster at best.

I fully support keeping things regional. Sometimes the magic just can't be replicated when it's too far removed from home.

Sonic sucks in New England. I don’t know if they also suck in the south, but we were very excited to finally get a sonic, and then went once

I've had Sonic in Florida and SC. There was one in Charleston that was consistently good, but every other location I've been to has kinda sucked, unless you're really into mayonnaise and wilted lettuce sandwiches.

LOL, the place to eat if you want something other than what you ordered. Seriously last time I went they screwed up my order that was using a free coupon from the LAST order they screwed up.

[–] felsiq@lemmy.zip 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I ate there free for three days in a row one time while travelling thru the states, thanks to those coupons 😂 I don’t even remember if the streak stopped cuz we didn’t get more coupons or just cuz we felt bad and stopped going tbh

And it's still ends up being better than national chains

Not difficult to do. Fast food is pretty uniformly awful. Only go to Culver's when I'm too tired/sick to cook my own food. Somehow they manage to get good fish fillets and the onion rings are pretty decent.

Not as smooth as the Culver's frozen custard

Love is love. I met my partner at a restaurant not all that different from this. I didn't propose in front of the restaurant but the restaurant does have special meaning to us and we have gone back there even though we live far away from it.

I also have a friend who actually proposed with the taco bell "will you marry me" hot sauce because taco bell was their place.

Now if you just randomly proposed in front of a fast food restaurant that had no special meaning to the two of you then yeah, you fucked up

Culver's is fucking gross.
