Balatro might be an easier entry point into the deck building genre. It's certainly easier for me!

It's really well done! Feels exactly like the video game, but with multiplayer and the tactile bonus of being able to pick up stuff.

Not sure why you would want to doubt. It's currently one of the best rated games on BGG for that reason.
