the Fediverse needs some hiking platform (feddit.org)

Platforms like Outdooractive, Komoot, Bergfex etc. charge for user content (and for viewing hiking trails in their map although they are free on OSM).

Is there any fediverse solution for Hiking, Biking etc.?

Only thing I found so far was https://docs.fittrackee.org/ but that's not exactly what I'm looking for and it is till under heavy development.

Check out Wanderer, https://wanderer.to/ , doesn't have Activitypub integration (yet?) but is actively maintained and could be what you're looking for. I self-host this for my own hike tracking.

That's great, thanks! I wonder if this can work with a search for all instances - like lemmy for example.

Wanderer looks cool, I've been using OpenTrackMap for my hikes which is also self-hostable and has some basic sharing features, but tbh I usually just end up listening to audiobooks on the trail with the soundleaf app while tracking seperately.
