Berserker is nice for the Enraged Throw but I'm looking forward to doing a Karlach origin run with the Giant subclass and going Thor on everyone's ass.

I’m excited to try the new archer style classes like the Druid and Fighter subclasses

Looking forward to trying out Hexblade, one of my favorite TT D&D subclasses.

I'm now trying Giant, Death cleric, and the Hexblade dip for my crit build martial character.

I like the flavor of Giant but throwing can be miserable sometimes. You don't get the same line-of-sight help when moving around, and I've had more than a few situations where I don't have LoS but it certainly looks like I do. I've also already had to pick up my Returning Pike a few times now. Still gonna stick with it.

Death cleric has been less interesting so far but it's certainly been effective (though to be fair, anyone with Phalar Aluve is gonna be effective). The Channel-Divinity-on-hit hits like a truck. Going to mess with it a little more but I'm probably going to replace it with a Circle of Stars druid once the druid joins my party.

The Hexblade dip has been less successful. I think I'd assumed that you'd get the option of the better of CHA or STR/DEX on your attack roll with your hexed weapon but that's not the case. So I'm not even using the hexed weapon at this point, just Hex (the spell), Hexblade's Curse and Booming Blade. I rarely have the Bonus Actions to spare, so I don't think this is better than Great Old One for my build. With GOO, my lower CHA doesn't mean I'm missing an attack, just not getting the effect proc. It's an all-in crit build, so I think maybe once the build fully comes online with Act 2 gear and crit elixirs Hexblade will be better since it won't matter that I'm getting regular hits less often with the hexed weapon.
