Supervised Full Self Driving? Thats just an oxymoron
Whats next Tesla??? Manual autopilot? Jumbo shrimp? Deafening silence?
As someone that doesn't drive a car, I will consider a vehicle to be full self driving when people that can't drive will be able to use them without a driver's licence.
Yes they actually made the case to a judge that "Full Self Driving" is a brand name and does in fact not imply Level 5 self driving as defined by SAE. People might expect Level 5 upon hearing the name, as Level 5 is called "Full driving automation" and has the car drive itself. Tesla is however only at Level 2 "Partial driving automation". Most brands are level 2, with level 3 on the horizon and something like Waymo has level 4.
Most of those lawsuits never went anywhere because when you buy a Tesla you have to sign away the right to sue them. Which is smart given how much they lie to customers. There is still a class action suit in the works however.
It's also a farce Elon Musk isn't in jail for being a serial liar to investors and manipulating their stocks. People have been banned from holding such positions and put in jail for far less.
Instead, Tesla offers a year of free FSD trial to Cybertruck owners.
That actually seems like a decent deal... do we have any evidence that cybertrucks can physically last more than a year?
They can call it “lifetime FSD” (for the life of the vehicle)
