It can be pretty jarring sometimes to read old comics and see how different values and thinking was at the time.

I know, right? Like, how is it "immoral" for the Snork Maiden to go swimming (or waterskiing) with someone she met at the beach?

If they were talking about wealth, I'd agree. But it's pretty clear they're referring to her going swimming.
