These articles always focus on the upper 20% of workers who work desk jobs and find productivity doesn't decrease with a 4 day work week. For most of us productivity does decrease because our jobs involve having somebody present (e.g. No clerk at store counter means no product sold).

The root of the climate benefit is in the decreased productivity. So if pay remains the same and productivity remains the same then likely emissions are merely shifting from uber eats to Thursday night at the club.
