I want my day mildly ruined, not completely ruined. Please remember to refrain from reposting old content. If you post a post from reddit it is good practice to include a link and credit the OP. I'm not about stealing content!
It's just good to get something in this website for casual viewing whilst refreshing original content is added overtime.

I haven't been excited about an android upgrade in like? I don't even know 8 years? It's all just shittery and more locked down shit.
I upgraded from Android 11 to Android 15 a couple of months ago. Damn, almost nothing changed.
Downgrades, downgrades everywhere.
Skill issue. The feature is still in Good Lock, an app that everyone with a Samsung phone should have installed.

Edit : That's the wrong app, you're almost certainly talking about Good Lock by heyUp.
This is called "Enshittification"
If you download Good Lock (https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.goodlock), you can still modify this through the Home Up add-on, along with many other tweaks and settings. I've almost managed to restore it to how it was before One UI 7 using these tools.
While what Samsung did isn't ideal, at least there's a solution for some of the changes at least.
It's a great tool by Samsung, but not promoted as much as it should π

Why did they remove it as base feature and added it back as add-on?!?! WTF
It's always been there in the add-on, why they removed it as a base feature beats me, but I feel they are going down the "Google route", remove all that works and replace it with what you never asked for.
Google used to hold a lot of nice services and features, including Chromecast. Why kill something that worked so well for so many people?

Edit: I just checked and doesn't look like I can set different grid sizes between folded / open in this either.
I have ever since Nova sold out. Loved that one but I removed that immediately after the news came out. I don't hate the stock Samsung launcher, but it's left a lot to be desired.
Yeah I moved off nova to this. It took a bit to get used to it, but now I like it more.
I'm still on Nova with updates disabled. Tough one.
