ATLANTA (AP) — A pregnant woman in Georgia was declared brain-dead after a medical emergency and doctors have kept her on life support for three months so far to allow enough time for the baby to be born and comply with Georgia’s strict anti-abortion law, family members say.

How needlessly cruel to everybody involved. Cruelty to the mother who is effectively being experimented on, cruelty to the family who have to watch helplessly as a husk of their loved one is kept alive by machines, cruelty to the child who is liable to grow up with health complications related to growing inside a brain-dead mother, cruelty to the hospital staff who are forced to sit back and disallowed from doing the right thing. Fucking disgusting.

It would be a very violent time if the state did this to my family.

Exactly how fucked up will that baby be? So the family will be forced to deal with losing this woman and being forced to raise a baby with severe disabilities.

Fitting, brain dead law. I’m sure the kid will be told they are a miracle baby or some shit.
