Don't worry .... you button it once and the back is brought together with velcro
Reminds me of a joke. Why does a sailors jacket have 7 buttons? So the women have 7 chances to say no.
No one is getting laid in this thing.
I've always heard this in relation to the dress uniform (cracker jacks uniform) pants which have 13 buttons for the crotch flap.
Legend has it, it was to represent the 13 colonies, although it’s not really true. Pretty sure it was there just to mess with sailors when they were drunk because they sucked when you’re in a hurry.
Pro tip is that you only buttoned the bottom two on each side and one or two at the top because the top row wasn’t visible anyway when the top was on.
Source: I wore them for about 8 years.
proer tip: the new ones don't have real buttons anymore they zip.
I left the navy just as they went from dungarees and blue button downs with the dress blues and the 13 button pants were being phased out. I still have mine somewhere.
God there are still so many uniforms I can't imagine having to deal with even more.
Is this Loss?
I wonder what's easiest, doing row by row top to bottom or just the first vertical row of vertical buttons from the inside and work your way out.
