Just started, but I saved a small white co-dependant kitten. And she makes me feel slightly better about myself.

Alright, dish out the kitten pics!

My profile I chocked full of them, but here is an exclusive.

Eh ok. I exercised today which helped

[–] wingsfortheirsmiles@feddit.uk 1 points 2 weeks ago

Excellent work, sadly I let the team down last week

[–] blackn1ght@feddit.uk 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Exercising, especially running, always makes me feel much better! Good effort 😊

[–] LadyButterfly@lazysoci.al 3 points 2 weeks ago

Thanks mate! The more I exercise the more I can eat

Fingers crossed this one is better!

[–] PhobosAnomaly@feddit.uk 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

alright cheers mate yeah, how about you?

[–] blackn1ght@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

It was good! My wife was away for the weekend with her mum so it was just me and the kids from Friday. Went to the science museum in Manchester, bike ride on Saturday and swimming, both kids seemed to have a great time! Also the F1 was on which helps.

Brilliant mate. Love sci museums. If you ever fancy going a bit further afield, Techniquest in Cardiff is an absolute banger; and the National Museum in Edinburgh is mint on the sci front too, and has a couple of 2010s F1 cars to boot.

Enjoy your week dude.

What did you think of the race? 👀

[–] blackn1ght@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I enjoyed it, I had very low expectations given previous races but there was plenty going on with some decent overtakes.

Putting more info below

Tap for spoilerI was surprised that the McLarens couldn't chase down Max, I thought they'd be all over him. Also kinda funny watching the Aston's going backwards. Their upgrades must have sorted their qualy pace out but their race pace still needs work. Max drove a stellar race though, I'm not a fan but damn he's good.

[–] PhobosAnomaly@feddit.uk 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Fair assessment. Big Max didn't really put a foot wrong in fairness.

The Williams were absolutely stellar though. Alex Albon has been shoving that Williams in places it really has no business being. It's super impressive and Sainz has been solid too (giggity)

[–] blackn1ght@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Loving the Williams resurgence! I'd love to see them right at the top again. Things certainly seem to be moving in the right direction, finally!

[–] rayquetzalcoatl@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

I cannot overstate how happy I am about the Williams comeback that appears to be on the cards!

I went to uni in Manchester, still go up for gigs and club nights yet have never visited the science museum. Would you recommend it? Got a trip to the White Hotel planned in July

[–] blackn1ght@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago

It's ok, it's pretty small honestly, but it's free to get in so not a bad way to spend an hour!

I ended up in a far too youthful hotel on a business trip last week. Ghetto blaster and football in the yard in the middle of the night was not what I needed. Not last night of the trip, though, as they moved to a room just down the hallway. Seldom have I appreciated my own bed as much as on return home.

Was a horrendously frantic week at work, pulled an all nighter on Thursday which I'm still paying for (definitely can't pull them off like I used to). Otoh was nice to see the parents for my dad's birthday, then enjoy the ESC final with friends. Well, more of a relief that Austria won but all was well in the end!

  • 20s powerdrive: I need to finish this now, and will not sleep until it's finished!
  • 30s powerdrive: I need to finish this now, but I know from experience I'm useless on no sleep, so I will sleep 5-6 hours and get back on it early tomorrow.

I stopped in for a quiet drink at a local pub, but they were having a "we love Crystal Palace" aneurism/moment, so what should have been a nice relaxed evening turned into a shouting frenzy.

I cannot stress this enough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iur9ALOuEBE (*football)

[–] blackn1ght@feddit.uk 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I can't be doing with football pubs. My ideal pub would have no TVs at all!

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

This one had a screen on every wall. You'd literally turn your head, and there'd be one right there robbing you of your attention.

If it weren't for that single window looking out into the road, you'd swear you were in a casino

[–] wingsfortheirsmiles@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Even as a football fan, I'm lucky to have a backup more rugger-based pub near me to fall back on if need be

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

This was my backup pub!
*runs away crying*
