I imagine the following communities can be helpful:
!privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com
!privacy@programming.dev

But any guide would essentially be:

  • Identify what kind of services and products from Google that you use (ex: Android, Google Maps)
  • Identify replacements for those services and products (ex: GrapheneOS or LineageOS instead of Android and OrganicMaps, OSMAnd or Magic Earth instead of Google Maps)
  • Verify that the replacements work for you
  • Make a plan on how to move to the replacements you have identified. (ex: Backup all important data on the phone before changing OS)

Unless you want to find alternatives to every single app from google it's not that hard. I was barely using anything from google so the hardest part for me was buying a phone compatible with lineageOS and slowly change my email at the places I was interested to keep my account.

The hardest replacement is going to be YouTube. I use BilliBilli and Weixin (I spend a lot of time in China) and it is pretty good. I still like to watch drama content on YT and it's hard to get away from 🤣

Ez. Ask ChatGPT.

I literally just typed in "How to de-google my life?" and it gave me a 12 step instruction plan from ditching Google for DDG/startpage/searx to data migration.

Oh yeah, lol. I keep forgetting ChatGPT can be used for stuff other than making SFW memes

It’s usable for general knowledge stuff, but once you’re ankle-deep in something it’s basically useless and never doubts you.

Chat GPT is just a version of the wisdom of crowds theory/fallacy.

It's 99% right on such a broad topic of things but only so long as the question is that which a layman could be reasonably expected to know.
