Displaying a flag seems like a fairly silly thing to call hate speech.

Allegedly displaying a flag.
Nah, it's the right thing to do. While the law was initially put in place to control nazi flags and other extremist display, using it to take down banners of banned terror organisations is justified.
Or how would you feel if your neighbor started flying an ISIS flag, for example?
How you or i feel is a terrible basis for law. Just look at the US right now.
"Terrorism" is code for "they fought back against us without spending comparable amounts of money."

It's not intrinsically bad unless you intrinsically support those with the most power.
As we are seeing in Germany these kind of laws are extremely easy to abuse. I am not saying flying ISIS or a Nazi flag is ok, but having these laws in place maybe does more harm than good.
Kneecap are good people.
Which flag did they display? It only said it’s ‘a flag displayed in support of…’.
Is it a Palestinian flag or a flag owned by one of those organizations?
Freedom of speech is important.
