With the last game if the season to go (and assuming a loss) that would be one point in the second half of the season.

I think this would be the worst laliga team in history. Atleast in a very very long time. I certainly cant think of a worse team.

Were they expected to be so bad, or did they just play a terrible season?

They were always gonna be relegation candidates, as is the case for all promoted teams in modern times. But the level of incompetence was special
