Haha I've been saying this for a while now, I think there's a legit possibility. Once he gets too risky mentally, they'll have him survive another "assassination attempt", providing a reason to only appear on camera for safety. They'll deepfake him after he dies and keep up the ruse.
All a part of the plan. Trump is a Trojan horse to get Thiel's puppet installed. As long as he does what they agree with, he stays. If he goes off script, he's out.
I think the beauty of Trump for them is that his going off script is what he's supposed to do. He floods the zone with daily nonsense so that the behind the scenes stuff can go ahead with minimal scrutiny.

During the 2020 campaign I saw video comparisons between him in 2020 vs him at the Repubilcan primary debates in 2016.
It was really crazy to see him speaking in complete sentences and stringing points together.

I genuinely don't believe Vance has the "star power" that Trump has with his cult, or the same sway with SCOTUS and the House. I guess I imagine there will be some power struggles after Trump is no longer in office for whatever reason
