I thought the same, but why would they do this? The USA doesn't need distractions. Nobody seems to have the will or capability do anything about Trump and his henchmen.

I'm thinking elon is playing for good will to stop his stock from crashing. I heard a rumor the dems might try for a good guy redemtion arc for elon, thus further proving the one party theory.
