Due to rising costs, declining donations, and my continued unemployment, I had to consolidate Fedia.io onto another server running the other services I manage. To mitigate the somewhat insane load that is created by scrapers and crawlers, I had to turn open access off again.
Thank you for the info :) I've read your other posts on the matter, so I know it's been a never-ending battle. Thank you for running this service and thank you for the reminder on donations! I'm going to swing by Ko-Fi this weekend.

Out of curiosity, is there a place that we can follow along with what the expenses are for running Fedia.io? I think a lot of people, including myself, don't really have a sense of what the costs are for running a service like this.
Something like the operating costs for infosec.exchange? Although I realize that one isn't current either, but at least it also states that the numbers on there, are lower than the actual current costs.
I'd hate for this place to ever end up in the same place as lemm.ee, where so many people were surprised by the shutdown, not realizing how dire the situation was, and how much more help was needed. Although it sounds like you're already being smart and mitigating by consolidating things.
