Remember to mark your fascism bingo cards if you had "enemy within".

He was already using that phrase during is campaign. That spot should have been marked a long time ago.

Any word on how the Governor of California is responding?

[–] floo@retrolemmy.com 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He sent a very nicely worded letter to Trump asking if he would pretty please return control of the national guard to him.

I got a good laugh out of it.

You cant really blame a governor for congress having abdicated their responsibility to impeach him, or the military abdicating their responsibility to depose him. Hes breaking the law, and no one is stopping it who can. The hell is Newsome supposed to do?

At this point Trump could literally order him arrested and there is no clarity as to whether anyone would stop it

Boy ~~Loyalist~~ Republicans only chance to hold on to power seems like lying, ignoring the body politic, taxing without much representation, enslavement, armed bullying and murder.

every redhat is devoid of substantiative thought or personality. they need a powerful individual to tell them what to do and what to think or they feel empty. the reason for this is that they are empty. they hated russia until russia helped their powerful individual win. then suddenly russia was good.

The 'enemy within' seems to have revealed itself by using military action against US citizens. Someone feels empowered by people getting away with evil acts on their bff list of villianous idols: Rolly-Polly-Kim-the-murderer, Gold-Kissin'-OG&E-killer-Putah, Bippity-the-ethnic-cleanser.
Cheetoh stain wants in on the action sooo dang bad.
