Wooo brewery all sorted and bagged out with dust sheets for the back wall repoint...looks like a fuggen murder dungeon now.

We both have very black senses of humour so i'll keep the running commentary to the family

Just went to a local shopping centre and got my fix of food court Chinese food, love it. Also unashamedly purchased a pair of Kmart trackies for each family member. They are unfortunately all the same shade of darkish grey ($8). Hey, the men's cheap trackies are cheaper, thicker and warmer, and come in more serviceable colours than the ones in the women's section, so 4 pairs of men's trackies in varying sizes it was. I am a bogan.

Better to be warm and comfy!! What's your go to plate? I'm a sucker for a sweet n sour pork, but my local place does a bangin' beef satay.

I've donned the grey trackies everywhere at the moment. We can both be bogans lol

Happy Winter Solstice

It contains Bailey's with a hint of coffee.

[–] T156@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I think the hot drink might be getting a bit too hot in that second photo.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 6 points 2 days ago

That hot drink was just to put a lining on my stomach before I hit it hard.

There is a sound that no matter where I am or what I'm doing in the house I recognise it in a millisecond:

The cat hocking up a hairball.

Also it feels like 8pm and it's only 6...

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 2 days ago

Atleast you get a warning. My dog coughs once and then out it comes.

I have returned from the market.

The very handsome dude who sells me salami (this is not a euphemism, stop laughing) has grown a beard, and is even more absurdly attractive now

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 6 points 2 days ago

That damper was unreal. I've never done it in foil and straight into the fire. I've done it heaps of times in the camp oven and in oranges.

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 7 points 2 days ago

I'm home from work early as my voice deserted me. Mr Woof is thrilled.

[–] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 6 points 2 days ago

Gonna make a stir fry and settle in for footy. Tonight’s good

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

this solstice sun is so glary I had to come home from the beach and was then struck with a migraine

i'll live

Feel better soon :)

Is anyone else gonna have a bonfire tonight and howl at the moon?

The question is, to eat cheese before going to bed, or to not eat cheese?

My mum sent me this photo, and I didn't even notice the bird at first. There was more going on in the background, but I cropped it to reduce the likelihood of being doxxed.

Reminds me of this

Was going to go to the gym but will rest tonight instead. I think I'd be pushing too hard if I went tonight.

So:

Feed the cats

Make dinner

Setup drumkit and have a play

Maybe some video games

Cuddle with Fluffball.

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Sounds like a plan.

Hope you have fun with your Drum kit!

It's my last day with sox, and I feel sad that I must peel myself away to go work on the thesis of doom. Rather than spend a goblin mode day with her cuddled up on the oodie watching dumb shit and tossing snacks around the room for her

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I demand another piccy of sox!

[–] just_kitten@aussie.zone 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Since you demanded so nicely, here's a couple of blurry mediocre shots from last night when I got home late and was crouched on my knees on the couch, which was an invitation for sox to jump onto my back and park herself there for a minute

a world-first for this feline

she loves everyone:

I have extricated myself from the warm cocoon of bed and am staring blankly at a screen but I promise to get some more pics tonight.

I went to the local repair cafe and spoke to them about running an information session on switching old computers to linux.

They're open to it, so I'll have to put some things together and figure out a date.

I figure I could always make a big deal about linux gaming and turning your old hardware into a steam deck, then targeting it at teenagers in the area if I want to boost numbers

Going to spend the night playing Splatoon 3 or something else depending on my mood.

All fed and keeping warm now.

[–] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 8 points 2 days ago (11 children)

I’m off to the market. Does anyone have any requests?
