The Season 27 premiere on Comedy Central, originally slated for July 9, is being moved to July 23.

The delay comes amid tension — including a legal threat — over South Park‘s lucrative streaming rights as the series was caught in the uncertainty over Skydance’s pending acquisition of Comedy Central parent Paramount Global, which co-owns the joint venture behind South Park, South Park Digital Studios, with series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone who run it.

Kind of fucking shitty they "hope fans can see it" when the whole issue is them making two "exclusive" deals and shortening normal seasons to make "specials"...

Like, sure they were fucking over billion dollar corporations, but also fans who suddenly would need two streaming services to legally watch every episode.

For years I was unable to watch south park, then I subscribed to hbo for a while sand was able to catch up to current. I no longer have hbo. Hopefully I will be able to see it again.
