I'm getting really tired of these daily posts about ICE atrocities. It's state terror, giving it more publicity is just going to help their cause.

But not talking about it allows people to forget. This is not a thing that will go away if we ignore it. There needs to be public scrutiny and criticism of, and even clashes with ICE. This is not only going to affect immigrants. ICE will be coming for regular citizens in the near future if they are not reeled in soon.
This is the wrong place for this, being "world news" and not "US news"

So US + at least 1 or more countries not accepting their own citizens + 12 countries accepting these citizens is NOT world news?

Thanks for bringing this up! I do, indeed filter out Trump and the known billionaires. ICE is unfortunately impossible to filter out, being a fairly common word...
See if your client supports a regex filtering. Would make a good feature request if not.

This would block posts with only ICE as it's own word and in all caps. Not so common now
Not my post, comrade, I just commented on a thing that crossed my feed. Lecture OP. Also, the US is still a part of the world whether you like it or not. The community is not called " not American news" . If the community is lacking news from other countries that's on a lack of posting representing them, not on the inclusion of the country you're tired of hearing about.

Or, I don't know, maybe be the change you want to see. Bitching that the content that's available isn't the content YOU want to see is not contributing. Maybe actually post what you think is relevant to the community, or just go back to reddit if you want everything done for you.

putting your head in the sand doesn't make it stop. at this point we need an uprising against ice and this regime. that will only happen if the people know they need to do an uprising. if you're already aware of the need and this is taking a toll on you rather than giving you ammunition to help wake someone up, log out for a while, take time to rest, heal, and recover.
This is supposed to be "world news" -community. I don't live in US and don't want to hear about their problems nonstop.
Unfortunately we are making it the problem of other countries.
