Whoa Max Dubler mentioned! I used to ride longboards and this guy was one of the only openly gay people in the major leagues, as it were. Although I think a lot of us turned out not to be so straight or cis after all 😅

MODERATORS
skateboards are intentionally loud… softer wheels and better bearings, putting little plastic skid guards on it will make it about 4x quieter….
nobody does this.
that’s why people go nuts over skaters practicing the same trick over and over….
i used to skate and do this so i can’t get mad, but things could be more considerate and get less harassment

Was at a skate park on an electric scooter when a dude with a board told me electric scooters weren't allowed there. Was thinking "MF'er, I broke about half a dozen laws on the way here, think I care about that stupid rule? When did skateboarders stop being rebels?" We were both wearing helmets. I probably almost died a couple times on the way there. lol Electric scooters are getting crazy fast.
