I need to exercise more, because I never feel like I have a full energy bar.
Because I never feel like I have a full energy bar, I don't exercise more.
For me I notice if I have less than 3500 steps a day type of activity I get extremely lazy and just start accepting procrastination on things. The lawn can be cut next week, the dish I ate off of can wait till morning. Going to the store sounds like a chore.
When I'm averaging around 20,000 steps a day I want to get more done, so I'll do that stuff quicker.
There is usually more mental stuff tied to it, like if I'm happy with my job, I get way more done at home. When I was working 50+ hour weeks but enjoyed it I cooked twice a day, cleaned everything daily, hell at one point I vaccumed the house 3x per week and cleaned my carpets every weekend. When I'm not happy at work or not working I just don't want to do anything, and I'll go months without vacuuming because what's the point.
Sidenote: if you use a carpet cleaner to often, its not good for the carpets, so find better activities
It's amazing how much better your brain feels when you exercise. If you don't like to exercise, try a weight vest. You just walk with it on and your heart rate gets up to where it needs to be

The only adults I know with money have no energy and vice versa.
Yeah, Energy + Money needs to be like your first 5 years out of university, assuming you landed a good job. Most of my adult life has felt like a full money bar, but empty time and energy.
Here's to getting old I guess, so at least I can have some time again! 🍻

In some jobs you can. I switched to working 36 hours which effectively traded money for time and energy. The moment that money bar fills up with sufficient buffer again I'll probably switch to 32. It mainly provides time though, not energy. But it's better than nothing

There's so many broke ass boomers. Don't get me wrong, they had it comparatively easy but the narrative they're all rich is patently false.
Yeah, I was being hyperbolic.
They are patently more rich than following generations.

But you also have to be neurotypical and not be LGBT and not have depression otherwise they'll just disinherit you.
Break from the norm and make a little money however you can and live within your means.
The price you pay for living with little is not that bad when you have your total freedom to gain.
I spent the past 30 years scraping by doing odd jobs, building, construction, renovating and whatever hands on work I could find. I'm no pro, I just work and work continuously. I'm not wealthy by any stretch, but I do own outright two old used vehicles, three old motorcycles and I own my own small property. If you saw my old house and old car and truck, you'd think I didn't have much money. My greatest wealth is in being able to say I own all my things and property without debt.
After spending years wondering what to do with my life, I'm happy with where I am now.
