It's alright man, I tried to differentiate hope one time... I got nothing left

Yeah, bit of land staked off, 5 goats, 5 cows, 15 chickens, fencing and 100 acres of agriculture would do you much better.

The whole time I just pictured myself having a bunker full of in ground freezers with hidden solar panels and they are just chock full of shite gas station sandwiches to ensure they last 50 years. (Hopefully we sort out our agriculture game in a few months or we are just going to all die of malnutrition)

Let's be honest though, in a complete societal collapse (not likely to ever happen) if I had sandwiches, and you had a block of gold. Your good is worthless unless someone else is willing to trade for it. You come with gold, say it's worth something, I say meh, maybe 15 pounds for one sandwich, you say no way, you grow weak through starvation I say 20 pounds, you say no way, grow weaker and I say 30 pounds, you say I only had 15, you die of starvation and I bury your currently worthless gold somewhere in case it eventually has value again.

While good, we should focus on the present corruption as well. For example Matt Gaetz who Trump tried to make attorney general should be in prison, and many people who supported him in Florida and U.S. congress should be in prison for essentially covering up his crimes of trafficking and raping a minor.... Also paying for sex and cocaine charges or w.e but the case is open and shut. So much so that Joel Greenberg pled guilty to acquiring the minor for Gaetz and is serving a shortened sentence (11 years) for giving information to help the investigation. That sentencing was in 2021. That information came before Floridas officials and the U.S. congress and they both decided they would sweep it under the rug if he took step back and when the public isn't paying as much attention we'll see if we can get you another job. As of 4 days ago he is apparently a part of the Pentagon Press, whatever the hell that is supposed to be.

So a man is in prison for helping Gaetz acquire a minor to fuck, but Gaetz who asked for, paid for, transported, and fucked the minor... Good to go.

When the calling comes, one must crab. No one knows when the call will come, sometimes you're just standing in line at the market.. then you gotta pop it, drop it, lock it, and crab your way out 🦀🦀🦀🦀

Just for fun I would have considered not putting the divider in so they had to make sure they told the cashier when the last item was, or pay for stuff they didn't want.

They have been playing ads on TV consistently for them. Hers saying she wants to help try to keep health insurance available, not get premiums raised and help the people of Tennessee.

His saying she's a radical that was opposed to ICE agents and trying to bully them by blocking them with her car.

His ads have nothing policy based ever said, because it sounds like none of his policies help the people. I guess he is pro tariffs or something, idk

Mozilla is just as big of a scam and has had presence here on lemmy from the beginning. Anyone who thinks FireFox isn't a remote control car driven by Google and does there bidding is lying to themselves in my opinion. (It will get downvoted here) But if someone pays all your bills to stay alive, you aren't doing anything but what they say. If Mozilla wants to be a company that has something to say, they need to cut their contracts with Google. Up to 85% of revenue from Firefox comes from Google. Or as people like to say on here.. if 20 people sit down at a table, and 17 are "Nazis" the other 3 are as well.

So if Google is bad, Firefox is as well

Squash I can often make last a couple days worth of meals. Depending on the squash you can roast it like a chicken parmesan, just skip the cheese (yikes). My second year here I grew around 100s cucumbers on accident from a 8x4 plot. So I could pickle cucumbers and then dehydrate some for chips, something entertaining for winter snacks

Most of our eggs are on the jumbo side, we got a few tiny ones now from hens that are just hitting the age, but I've got one hen that just spits out huge eggs. I posted an 85g 8 months ago on here, but now this one is 100

Does anyone have any recommendations of a good place you can chat with people casually without the intent of it being romantically involved. Every app seems to be all about bots, sexual interactions, and such.

Just looking for people interested in chatting via text and such (really don't understand why people like video chats, I could see if it were romantically inclined perks in that, but it's not for that). Intent I believe is to combat loneliness without having to enter into something where one party is hoping to find a relationship or fuck buddy.

Honestly couldn't even care if names are exchanged.

So my eggs are usually pretty set in size, and it is hard to tell in the photo but one of my hens missed a day (unusual for her) and I assumed it was because it was cold and maybe she'd slow her laying as I am used to raising chickens in Florida, and now in the Nashville area so it has been in the 20s at night lately. The next day she laid this mammoth egg. This batch(?) of chickens is young so I getting to know them still. Should I be concerned for any reason about this, or is it possible she is still growing and is just going to lay Jumbo sized eggs in the future?
