I mean it convinces me. The options were they sell you DLC 3 months from now or they sell you the DLC now. They made the mistake of assuming people were rational and would be able to see beyond the optics. All the little rituals and performative bullshit we have in every day life is there for a reason. People are fucking dumb animals at the end of the day.
