Can you try editing the post and pasting the same link into the thumbnail feed?

I don’t see a thumbnail URL field when I edit the post, unlike when making a new post.

Some apps and frontends don't have that field yet, but the main web interface should have it when editing posts: https://lemmy.ca/

I'm not sure what caused it to not show up in the first place, but that's how I fix thumbnail issues in my posts

Lemmy also lets you manage your uploads now if you wanted to upload it again / replace it. Go to your profile and there should be a tab for it. You should also be able to access it here:

I check a more recent post, and edit doesn’t show a thumbnail url for that either. I am on the main web interface.

Looking at the uploads page, I just see uploaded images with delete buttons next to them.

Hi sorry for the delay, I'll have to look into this some more. Could you screenshot what you are seeing on the edit menu?

The uploads page was the images that have been uploaded, if you ever wanted to delete anything :)

Reuploading it? (I don’t see a way to tell it to apply the existing lemmy.ca/pictrs/image/ file.)
