We really need a better way to deal with this. These charges are typically fines and then they pay predatory insurance rates for 5 years, but anyone with money will just pay.
Here's a dumb question: why do we even allow cars to go 178 Km/hr?

* All chatrooms are linked together. If you join one room your messages will be copied to the other platforms.
* Matrix is an open source and potentially distributed chat protocol. The matrix room listed is hosted on matrix.org, a somewhat centralized hub for a lot of currently public rooms. Though the protocol itself is free, libre and open source, the deployment of the protocol resembles a centralized service. This may be fixed in the future with the deployment of independent servers.
* Be aware that both Telegram and Discord are centralized proprietary platforms and do not necessarily protect your rights nor privacy while simultaneously giving power to corporations.

Do you guys not do license points?
Sure, i could get pulled and pay the fines repeatedly but after a few times I'll lose my license due to having too many points on it.
Yes, and this will cost the driver 6 points. In Ontario, once you reach 15 your license is suspended.
They will also face way higher insurance.
Is that a lot for Canada? I drive that fast almost daily. We Germans have issues. Sorry.
For Canadian tracks, no.
For areas with a posted limit of 80, yes.
You saying sorry like that makes me wonder if you smell of... poutine!
The driver is facing a charge of stunt driving, which includes a 30-day licence suspension and the vehicle impounded for 14 days.
That seems insufficient.
That's the roadside penalty, from the cops. Next up could be a trial with stiffer penalties available
Not could be, there will be. Minimum fine is $10k and could include a year licence suspension and jail time.
That's more like it.
English is my second language, maybe that is why "charged with stunt driving" sound really funny to me.
"You there, stop doing stunts!!!"
Like it is the same charge if you are speeding or doing weelies in your bicycle in your neighborhood
