And the worst part of it all? All those journalists didn't bother to ask - "sorry, how many?" And then proceed to ridicule a man who just said that ~3% of the world population died from drugs in a year.
They heard the lie and let it run, just like all the others.

Or mourn the fact that none of the so called "serious" media didn't bother to do it.
Facts have never stopped Trump from saying whatever randomly pops into his head, while he's speaking.
That’s like 85% of the US population... Well that caught me off guard, like that claim is beyond stupid. I almost feel embarrassed that I needed to double check the population stats. How can anybody take anything he says seriously?

The U.S. Census Bureau reported there were roughly 340 million people in the U.S. in 2024, which would have meant that more than two-thirds of the country's population would have died if the president were correct.
"More than two-thirds" is such a stupid understatement of 88%. It's also more than three-fourths, and four-fifths, and five-sixths, and six-sevenths, and seven-eighths. He thinks almost 8 people for every 9 people in the US died last year, just from drugs. The man is senile.
