tyranny /tĭr′ə-nē/

noun

  1. Unjust or oppressive governmental power.

  2. A government in which a single ruler is vested with absolute power.

  3. The office, authority, or jurisdiction of an absolute ruler.

There's no chance he sees the irony here is there?

Hasn't been legally relevant for six hundred years.

It's important to the American founding myth, not the British. Parliament is older than it is, just to start with.

Not that they're not a limited monarch, it's just not as important as American schools portray it to be.

"Today, as tyranny once again threatens Europe, we and our allies stand together in support of Ukraine, to deter aggression and secure peace," the king said.

I haven't listened to the full speech, but I feel like he's not including the US in "our allies" here.
