Might want to take a look at Framework laptops. Very upgradeable and customizable. I don't personally have one, but based on what I see while shopping myself it looks solid IMO. website

A coworker actually recommended that. I realize I didn't specify a budget, but aren't those pretty expensive?
They aren't chromebook priced, but I built one last night and it was looking like 1700.oo with modest choices but you could lower that price. Don't forget they are meant to be upgraded so you have that benefit going forward.
Fair enough! Thanks!
Happy to help!
Please recommend a laptop that fits my needs! Thanks in advance.
The only need you’ve specified is charging via USB-C But you’ve also said that alone isn’t sufficient so it’ll be hard for anyone to give you advice.
Best I can do is let you know my work issued Lenovo ThinkPad charges via Thunderbolt via a USB-C connection.
Another thing to note, adding ‘Thunderbolt’ to your search terms might help you find candidates, as I believe that is the technology most laptops will be leveraging along with a USB-C connector for charging.
+1 to Lenovo, they have a number of models that charge via USB-C/thunderbolt
Yup, T480(s) onwards afaik.
Fair enough, I could have been more specific.
My complaint about the one USB-C charging laptop I have purchased is primarily that it doesn't seem to hold a charge for more than an hour of non intensive use. A laptop that charges via that interface and holds the charge would most likely meet my needs.
I will update my search preferences; thank you!
My Dell laptop charges via USB-C. What other needs do you have other than it needing to "impress" you?
The things that don't impress me are that the machine is extremely slow and, more importantly, the charge barely lasts an hour of just web browsing. I can deal with slow, though I don't love it, but I strongly desire more than an hour of use. What model is your Dell?
HP elitebook/ probook.
I have an hp elite book and an dell something-big-and-heavy-desktop-replacement that both use type-c charging. The dell needs 150w though. The elite book I just got but I bet I can use a 100w with it.
Noted - thanks!
