If the US decide to bomb FIFA, I'll be really conflicted as to who I should root for.

Root for the bomb. It has an easy job though, just has to hit somewhere nearby and they'll flop to the ground until a ref hands out penalty cards.

One thing I know for certain is that I want both parties to lose in a US-FIFA conflict.

If there's a hot war between the US and FIFA then I think water polo is likely to be the winner when the fighting stops.

It's like Israel vs Hamas, or Israel vs Iran, or the US vs Russia.

Newsflash: unlike traditional America, it seems like fascist America suddenly cares about soccer.

Here's my take: fuck fascism and fuck soccer.

Maybe FIFA is the deserving of ire, rather than the actual sport?

[–] Marshezezz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 19 points 1 week ago

Hey, leave soccer out of this

Don’t put fucking fascism in the same sentence as ~~soccer~~ football. Fuck fascism and fuck FIFA. Football though, is the best.

Just like they "care"about female sports.

Fuck fascism, but soccer is alright imo

How come nazis are simping for jews now?

[–] UnfortunateShort@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

The nazis now brand themselves as friends of Jews so they can claim they cannot possibly be Nazis. Also some weird religious stuff that implies the Jews must rule some stuff for rapture to happen. Something that I never heard of before and that was definitely never pushed by Israeli facists and their allies for the specific purpose of aligning with evangelicals
