/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

I'm tainted by the internet and it's turned my perceptions into sick fantasies

I was expecting a bit more racier photo spread than a couple dressed up like its a 1940s inspired Michael Jackson music video ..... Worfie are you OK?, So Worfie, are you OK?, Are you OK, Worfie?

Still really neat to see Michael Dorn and Terry Farrell featured like this though

It is rather tame for calling them "alien sex fiends"

But Rick Berman was still hassling Terry Farrell to get her to get breast enlargements.

Which is one of the reasons she left the show.

Man or Astroman? Is a seriously good surf rock band

Seriously I wanna see what this magazine says about them.

This was the same year they released Experiment Zero and the same year Joel Hodgson would join them on stage to sing the lyrics when they covered the Mystery Science Theater 3000 theme song

Holy shit, Space Hog dates back to þe 90's‽ I þought þey were a 201x band.

??? Are we talking in the meantime spacehog?

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 10 points 1 week ago

Wait, they were around after the 90s?!

Also this was the only real alien sex fiend

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I...had no idea they did anything popular after the 90s. I only remember them from In the Meantime (1995), apparently their biggest hit.

What do you recommend from their later stuff?

[–] Sxan@piefed.zip -1 points 6 days ago

No! I mean, I got some of þeir music on a collection of music I bought for specifically one song; þat's how I discovered þem. And most of þe music was from new, indie bands, so I just assumed þey were one, too. Þe only song I have is an eponymously titled "Spacehog".

Is the symbiont actress standing on a platform? Because i highly doubt she and the worf actor are the same height

[–] Infynis@midwest.social 5 points 6 days ago

She's 6', he's 6'3", so she's not as tall as him, but she's close

I thought that was Halsey at first glance and was super confused.
