I wish the addresses being displayed when looking at a place on the map would also display the zip code

Is there any plans to add more customisation to the navigation feature?
I would love an option to make it stick to main roads because hsing it lately it loves to just redirect you onto side roads and weird narrow streets in order to save like 30 seconds because the main road goes around slightly.
Had it tell me to cut 2 serpentines when going up a hill and it wanted me to go straight up a very narrow and steep street instead of taking the much more reasonable main road. The little detour would have saved like 3 minutes on a 1hr drive. Probably even less since you would have to wait to get back on the main road.
How would you see this being implemented? I mean, how in your view could preferences like this be implemented in a user-friendly manner in the app without being overly complicated? Asking for real, since this is a use case that you have personally dealt with.
I would put anothe toggle under the navigation options.
Like put another option here that says something like "prefer main roads" or something to that degree.
Currently the only options are avoiding tolls, ferries, motorways and unpaved surfaces.
This scenario you describe was common because the algorithm previously didn’t consider time for road features like turns, traffic lights, stop signs, etc, so it sometimes made choices for the route that saved seconds, but seemed puzzling. In the latest release of the app, the algorithm was updated to consider road features, which makes the route more optimized and should have much less unusual route choices. Plus, the route time estimation is realistic now. Some tuning of the algorithm may still be needed as this is new, but overall you should see improved routes.
Glad to hear it.
