[–] foggianism@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago (3 children)

Iran and Israel on the same side

[–] 87Six@lemmy.zip 3 points 6 days ago

2 eras of israel on opposing sides lol

North and South Korea as well

[–] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago

the more you look at it the weirder it gets

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

pretty sure this is a parody

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago (3 children)

I'm sorry but stating China and Russia as freedom bastions is some tankie apologist bullshit.

[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 11 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (1 children)

Usually id agree but this is clearly chaotic for the sake of being chaotic. Even if nothing else gave it away, Israel and Palestine are on the same side.

Edit: also, a tankie would've never put south Korea on the 'good' side.

[–] EddoWagt@feddit.nl 3 points 6 days ago

Somehow the UK is on both sides

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Sure but I feel that is offset by the NATO/Ukraine flag, also the fuck is Mississippi doing there.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

And Biden, which was definitely opposed by China and Russia if only because they explicitly endorsed Trump over the Ukraine and TikTok policies.

Also going to point out that the flag of the Vatican or Papal States is on its just that it blends in with the white of Jesus's clothes. Also I just noticed what I think is the aboriginal Australian flag. Pretty sure this is just a shit post meme meant to confuse folks who are into vexillology.

[–] reptar@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

Dude you have up to soon. The fun is continuing down each side because the "team ups" are confusing

[–] biotin7@sopuli.xyz 5 points 6 days ago

Apolitical ?? Try chaotic

[–] Noel_Skum@sh.itjust.works 3 points 6 days ago

Damn. Shitposting has reached a new epoch.

[–] CovfefeKills@lemmy.world -1 points 6 days ago

This reflects many lemmy users yes it is quite accurate in that sense... It has to be made by a lemmy-typical type intelligence It's kinda shocking as a kinda new lemmy user you aren't just drawing your own version. I think you aren't implying shit is more complex then black and white, I think you are implying the binary map was drawn wrong.

My closest guess is that it's a tankie viewpoint. But I think the real answer is that it was just made as a joke. The gay/trans flags being on opposite sides and the UK being on both sides seems pretty on the nose.

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 2 points 6 days ago (2 children)

There are quite a lot of gay people who are anti trans.

Which is incomprehensible to me, but it is a thing.

[–] Tonava@sopuli.xyz 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

A lot of terfs are lesbians (or at least are using lesbians as a reason to be against transpeople)

Which is funny, because basically all the cis lesbians I know irl are pretty staunchly against terfs.

[–] blicky_blank@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago

Colloquially known as "pick me gays"

[–] sunoc@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 week ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (2 children)

That’s my guess as well, but I feel too many flags on the right don’t match the core tankie bs. Biden ? Vatican ?

[–] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 3 points 6 days ago

Putting Cuba and Venezuela opposed to China tells us its not a ml perspective.

[–] Kanda@reddthat.com 2 points 6 days ago

UK on both sides, US and Israel opposite (???)
