Let's not pretend USAID was a good thing. The dummy in chief literally forgot to get briefed by its owners, the CIA, on what it actually does.

Though I have been enjoying the greatly reduced content from radio free asia, the east sinostan nonsense, and the various other USAID projects aimed at destabilizing china.

Let’s not pretend USAID was a good thing.

It was a program of soft imperial power, but also genuinely helped people. If 14 million people would have lived who will now die without it, it wasn't entirely a bad thing. The Wikipedia page acknowledges its political purpose but also describes some of its good effects:
