I loved the old GW aesthetic. Everything these days is least on the surface, very self-serious.

I have a good chunk of that stuff in my attic. Some Hero Quest too, as that was what originally got me into painting.

Very cool. I like both the 2e and the 3e+ ‘nid aesthetics for very different reasons.
