As you probably noticed if you tried to use our Lemmy instance, we have had some issues with stability. It was mainly due to underwhelming database configuration and very modest amount of resounces given to the database server. We did some tweaks and things should be working a bit better now.

Additionally we have slap new frontend while toying with lemmy today. It's called photon and looks awesome. Definitely a keeper but we need to use it a bit more to see if things work proper. That said, if you love the old looks we will provide old UI under different URL. Let us know what url (lemmy.disroot.org? lemmyui.disroot.org? something else?

I will probably end up using the old ui because functionality is lost in this new one. Can't hide upvote numbers which I strongly prefer to be hidden.

I will put the old ui today. Let me know which url would you prefer.

If you're still choosing I'd probably go with lemmy.disroot.org because it's easier to remember and shorter to type in if you're manually entering the url.

what about lm.disroot.org?

I like that too, that's probably better.

I like the new UI, but I am still getting a lot of 502 errors. It seems to just happen randomly, like every other request gets 502'd, where as before it was more consistent, when it was happening.

The instance I'm using (programming.dev) offers five custom UIs and they are mostly available under subdomains by the first letter of the UI name:
Tesseract (t.programming.dev)
Photon (p.programming.dev)
Alexandrite (a.programming.dev)
Mlmym (old.programming.dev, because this one tries to mimic old Reddit UI)
Voyager (v.programming.dev)

Makes sense to use a lower level domain for that, I think.
