Israel trying to pass the hospital bombing off as Palestine doing it is utterly disgusting and guarantees Netanyahu a spot in the deepest pit of Hell for all eternity, obviously, but do not forget that

a) the only reason why Westerners will believe it is because they want to believe it - they are not being brainwashed and this is not some masterful propaganda being weaved around us to turn kind-hearted people into monsters,

b) no Westerner opinions matter at all. In most Western countries there is no real anti-Israel option to vote for even if they did realize that Israel was a giant factory for crimes against humanity, and Westerners protesting against things in general almost never achieves anything (tens of millions protested for BLM in 2020 and not only did the situation not change, it got worse), and

c) the people whose opinions do matter (both the people in the region, and the leaders who aren't already Zionist compradors) already know that Israel is full of shit and that they just murdered nearly a thousand civilians in a single bomb attack.

It is despair-inducing to think that the genocidal Zionist entity is so brazenly, so smugly getting away with bullshitting this away into a cloud of confusion, as they release their metaphorical squid ink just like they did with the stupid babies story, but the propaganda and the media narrative that they are creating isn't what matters. It cannot address the fundamental contradictions ripping the country, the region, and the world apart any more than masterfully-applied makeup can fix a stab wound. It can merely obfuscate.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA daily-ish reports on Israel's destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account. Alt here.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

The Country of the Week is still Palestine! Feel free to chime in with books, essays, longform articles, even stories and anecdotes or rants.

Here is the map of the Ukraine conflict, courtesy of Wikipedia.

The weekly update isn't coming because I'm sick and too focussed on the collapse of the Zionist entity.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Last week's discussion post.

South Korea’s military says Hamas attacks on Israel may have used rocket-propelled grenades and 122mm artillery shells supplied by North Korea.

Plausible, we IDd some of the munitions. Impossible to tell whether they're old or new supplies though.

From Al Jazeera's timeline of the hospital bombing narrative shifts.

The Israeli army also released a video showing spokesperson Daniel Hagari translating a recording of a conversation between purported Hamas officials, where they appear to talk about the misfired rocket that had caused the hospital blast.

To some, it seemed too neat. As one journalist later asked Hagari: “I’d like you to address the question of credibility, because … the [Israeli army] has a less than perfect track record with the issue of credibility”.

In his response, Hagari admitted that the military had lied before, but that now was different.

. . .

Shortly after the blast, Netanyahu deleted a message from his X feed that repeated a line from his address on October 16 to the Knesset. It said: “This is a struggle between the children of light and the children of darkness, between humanity and the law of the jungle”. The message appeared to echo the tone used earlier by Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, who had described Palestinians as “beastly people”.

At this point, the IDF and Biden probably have a better track record of you just negate everything they say.

But but but of course this time they have to be correct. Of course.

The US and EU are asking Israel to postpone the ground operation in Gaza as they negotiate with Hamas, with the participation of Qatar, to release the hostages.

The Hamas movement has released two US citizens held hostage, according to the statement.

Israel is going to kill all the hostages and the US and EU know it. Israel will probably just blame it all on Hamas.

Whatever deal Hamas struck with Qatar to release hostages, I am skeptical that it was worth it. The Qataris have shown time and again, just in the past two weeks even, that they cannot be counted on to uphold any deals they make.

If I looked at the sky

And saw a shooting star up high

I wouldn’t wish for a Hollywood mansion

No fancy cars and no penthouse suite

No stash of cash on a private island

But as long as I am breathing in air

I’d wish to see the trial of Tony Blair

Has there ever been a case of retaliation against people who donate to leftist causes (ex: bail for BLM protestors)? The least I could do was donate to a group pledging medical aid to Palestine, as I feel useless otherwise. My only worry is retaliation from bloodthirsty Israel supporters; even the liberals are baying for blood, and sending medical aid to Palestinians would put donors in their crosshairs.

It's wild to me how literally no candidate is worth voting for next year and they'll all make the war in Gaza so much more worse. Okay maybe not Cornel West? But lets be honest, burger brains are not going to let him anywhere fucking near the levers of power, lol

Holy mother of fuck - how many 1,000 times is Biden going to "reaffirm the United States’ support" and talk about "Israel’s right to defend itself"?

Biden spoke with Netanyahu on Friday, White House says

US President Joe Biden spoke Friday morning with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following up on humanitarian assistance plans agreed to earlier this week in Tel Aviv and discussing hostage relief efforts, the White House said.

“The President reaffirmed the United States’ support for Israel’s right to defend itself and obligation to protect its citizens, while underscoring the importance of operating consistent with the law of war to include the protection of civilians in Gaza caught in the conflict launched by Hamas," the White House said in a readout.

"The President and Prime Minister discussed follow-up from the President’s visit to Israel earlier this week, including plans to begin moving humanitarian assistance into Gaza from Egypt," the readout continued. They also discussed “ongoing efforts to secure the release of hostages taken by Hamas – including US citizens –and to provide for safe passage for U.S. citizens and other civilians in Gaza,” the readout said.

The leaders and their teams have been in close contact since Hamas first attacked Israel on October 7. Biden met with Netanyahu on Wednesday in Tel Aviv, and the two spoke on October 8; 10 and 11.

4-way summit in Jordan of Biden and other leaders canceled

Jordan has called off a four-way summit scheduled for Wednesday with U.S. President Joe Biden and other leaders, the country’s foreign minister told state-run television.

Ayman Safadi told al-Mamlaka TV that the war between Israel and Hammas was “pushing the region to the brink” and the summit would be postponed.

After visiting Israel Wednesday, Biden had planned to travel to Amman for the meeting.

The White House said Biden had hoped to use the summit to discuss the bloody Oct. 7 Hamas militant attack on Israel with the United States’ Arab allies and the Palestinian Authority, which exercises limited autonomy in parts of the occupied West Bank.

What I don't completely understand is why would Israel bother lying about bombing those people? If they are ashamed of killing that many innocents they certainly don't show it with all the other hospital, mosque, and refugee bombings. The west isn't going to meaningfully get in their way either way. They can kill as many innocents as they wish, Europeans and more importantly, Americans do not care

US State Department advises all Americans overseas "to exercise increased caution" in rare worldwide alert

The US State Department issued a rare, worldwide caution alert Thursday to advise all US citizens abroad "to exercise increased caution," citing "increased tensions in various locations around the world, the potential for terrorist attacks, demonstrations or violent actions against US citizens and interests."

The alert comes as protests have erupted throughout the Middle East in response to the Israel-Hamas war, with many demonstrators targeting US diplomatic compounds.

The State Department has raised the travel advisory for Lebanon and Israel to the highest level and has authorized non-emergency US government personnel and family members to depart.

The State Department last issued this kind of alert in August 2022 in the wake of the killing of al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, warning that “supporters of al-Qa’ida, or its affiliated terrorist organizations, may seek to attack US facilities, personnel, or citizens.”

It's one thing to be a dejected western leftist ranting impotently about capitalism or whatever, but it's another to be fucking Iran or Hezbollah and just keep making vague empty threats. I feel seen and heard and represented in the worst possible way.

Why would Hamas release hostages for "humanitarian reasons"? They're animals who lust for the blood of the innocent, or so I was told.
