I want to believe, I really do, but basically every “new version of thing I loved from childhood” has been profoundly disappointing.
My guess: [bad guy] comes back because [good guy] is actually bad guy now, in a complete reversal of their entire character growth arc, and [bad thing that we took care of in the last show] is back because [history erasing lazy writing so they can just tell the same story again].
I see you have also seen [show/movie brought back after a long gap]!
Keep the gates closed but acquire the same goods via the port.
I feel like the only really good Bethesda game besides Skyrim that I've played is Dishonored, and coincidentally that's the one developer/studio that Bethesda decided to close down

Nope. My first Elder Scrolls was Skyrim. My first Fallout was 4, which felt kinda meh.
EDIT for better context: I was born in soviet union and we didn't really get western games, only some specific ones that got translated like Might of Magic 6-8

None of the stuff I'm reading comments on the large following sg1 had due to it's realistic depiction of military life (sans the obvious science fiction aspects). I know a fair amount of veterans who found watching it validating to the both positive and negative aspects of their lived experience (I interact a decent amount with veterans after the us military industrial complex is done chewing them up and spitting them out for the promise of alleviating their poverty).
Plenty of Amazon shows are also shit. Just like how Netflix and all the others have a mix of good shows and bad shows.
good omens? if that even comes back for a final season. sandman for netflix you can tell how cheap the set is,right up to thier clothes and props.
It's not going to be a total reboot either! Same universe as produced that had Jack O'Neil played by Richard Dean Anderson. I hope they guest star Amanda Tapping at least once.

The money comes from somewhere shitty always with these things. All you can do is hope they stay out of it as much as possible and let the artists do their thing
