I don't remember the legal arguments, but it granted bees a bunch of legal protections.

I read the article but it doesn't specify what are "legal rights"? They obviously can't sue. They can't go to jail. I guess you could "deport" them but isn't that on the receiving country rather they accept them?

If it's simply "you can't kill them or destroy their habitat" there are lots of examples of that.

Not against the bees, we should work to have more bees worldwide but this headline means nothing and doesn't even offer an explanation in the article.
