Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

So by default she's going to assume all Americans are... Not Americans? You guys need to keep hearing this: you really fucked up voting for a convicted felon.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 4 hours ago

Ah, guilty until proven innocent. Typical fascist move.

Just force armbands, you fucking nazi. I hope she gets tried in The Hague.

[–] handsoffmydata@lemmy.zip 5 points 5 hours ago

Inb4 she announces ⭐️ that will be required to be worn on our clothes to prove citizenship.

I am looking forward to Puppy Killer's impeachment trial.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 4 hours ago

Or the people's tribunal, which will likely be more perfunctory but far less corrupt.

[–] fittedsyllabi@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago

Noem ain’t an American name.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

You first, Kristi.

Will ICE prove their citizenship to me?

[–] 0li0li@lemmy.world 16 points 22 hours ago

No, like republicans screeming too loudly about gays, pedos or drugs, they are telling us about themselves by calling evil on others.

Bet some of those ICE boys have something to hide behind that mask and violence.

I think that's all she really needs: a good fucking. Someone do us a favor, take one for the team!

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 5 hours ago

eu...makeup everywhere.

[–] DarkDinner@quokk.au 14 points 19 hours ago

IF there were some good law enforcement they should arrest Noem, because I guarantee she is too arrogant to carry any proof of citizenship with her.

It'd be awesome. Chuck her in one of her own dungeons.

[–] aarch0x40@piefed.social 31 points 23 hours ago

Gestapo says what?

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 25 points 23 hours ago

Kristi Noem should be prepared to prove her humanity on the stand.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 22 points 23 hours ago

Glory to Arztotska!

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 20 points 23 hours ago (4 children)

So what do they consider proof? A photo of scan of an active passport? Or the actual physical passport?

[–] rafoix@lemmy.zip 18 points 22 hours ago

Ethnicity, accent, home address, favorite stores, MAGA hat

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 10 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

I don't even have a passport as I haven't traveled internationally since the 90s when it wasn't needed for Canada and Mexico.

Guess I'm not a US citizen as far as ICE is concerned despite being born in the dead center of the US and at least four generations of citizens above me.

[–] itsalldownhill@lemmy.org 2 points 19 hours ago

Original US birth certificate. Government issued ID

If you have a passport they’ll probably shoot you.

[–] Eternal192@anarchist.nexus 11 points 22 hours ago

Well the name Kristi Noem doesn't really sound "American" so how about we start there, Trump's grandfather was German sooo... oh... well that explains things.

[–] 58008@lemmy.world 3 points 17 hours ago

I wanna see the log files from her phone's face unlock feature during the period when she Mar-a-Lagoed herself with a brick in a sock.

[–] discocactus@lemmy.world 11 points 23 hours ago

Most efficient way would be to shoot (near maybe?) the person asking. The requirements for acquisition of a gun should be sufficiently rigorous to prove your identity right?

[–] Headofthebored@lemmy.world 4 points 20 hours ago

Tell Ice agents you have your papers right here in this holster.

[–] omega_x3@lemmy.world 5 points 22 hours ago

Will a cup of my piss be enough proof?

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 5 points 23 hours ago

Why? What happens if I don't? Where will I be deported to?

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 2 points 22 hours ago

Gestapo: PAPERS!

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world -5 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Hey america: have the day you voted for!

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 4 points 5 hours ago

I didn't vote for this shit. My state didn't even vote for this shit.
