Joke maybe good, but I didn't like the joke.
Once in a while I see small banner ads that probably still work because they're directly embedded in the site, instead of loading from some third-party ad syndication server. I usually think "that's how you do advertising!", especially if it's a still image instead of something that moves.
And then promptly block the element with UBO
