I have a misfortune of driving one of these pieces of shit. I needed an accessible minivan and allowed the dealer to convince me Pacifica was as good as Sienna. On paper, it was. Worst fucking car I've ever owned. $60k before $40k conversion. $100k brand new car.

AC that barely works in 40°C heat. Transmission that doesn't shift. Gas mileage that supercars and tanks can compete with. Ride quality of a boat in rough seas. Trunk that randomly decides not to close. Knobs and buttons that get stuck. Fuel hole designed so poorly it takes me 20 minutes to fill up this piece of shit because fuel gun keeps stopping.

This is just shit I remember. List is a long, not even mentioning multiple recalls.

FUCK Stellantis. They should be forced to buy back all the garbage they sold, but instead they'll just get bailed out when they go belly up.

I owned a 2013 Caravan for almost 8 years. While it did get me hooked on the minivan as a general vehicle, it had constant AC issues and regularly got 15-16 MPG, no matter how gentle we drove it. Plus other issues. Ex-wife got it in the divorce years ago with ~90k miles on the clock, and I was happy to see it go.

Bought myself a 2008 Toyota Sienna with 230k miles a few weeks after the fact. 44k miles and 4+ years later, I still feel like I upgraded.

How much longer can the frogs put up with the excuses from Jeep ?

Just shut the clown show down.

First thing I did when looking for a car was check the Stellantis brand list and choose from brands not listed there

NADA and UAW really having a bad day cause Canada just made a trade deal to import cars from China.

Funny how when you're an asshole to people people treat you like an asshole.

Bon Appetit leopards.

Hah, get fucked. Make cars that work, then we'll talk.

And maybe do something with Chrysler while you're at it.

[–] BallShapedMan@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Wild, I was for sure that Chrysler was shut down. Imagine my surprise when I searched and found it's not...

The more you know 🌈

What's worse, one of the descendants of the original Chrysler wanted to buy it from Stellantis, abd they said no. Like they'll have a better way to make a buck off that IP.

[–] BallShapedMan@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

So far they've gone from bad to worse sadly. I thought I saw the swapped CEOs. Maybe they'll bring about a solution.

I really want to like brands, on paper their my cup of tea as long as reliability and resale value are ignored.

Stellanis sells garbage. Go bankrupt already.

[–] ThanksObama@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago

We'll get right on that boss.

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago

Lol good luck. Maybe they can sell fleet vehicles to ice, might be the only possible way

Make vehicles that:

  1. People want to buy.
  2. That are affordable in the current economy.
  3. That don't fall apart if you look at them wrong.

It's honestly that simple. Somehow they consistently fail, yet management never has any consequences since shareholders seem to have zero critical thinking skills when they're lied to constantly by that same management.

If you don’t want a Dodge Durango, we also offer….oh.

What exactly do they have to sell?

[–] RightHandOfIkaros@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Like 30 different variants of Fiat with different names lol

[–] CmdrShepard49@sh.itjust.works 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Challenger and Charger, no?

[–] skip0110@lemmy.zip 1 points 6 days ago

Well yes, kinda. Challenger is gone and no one wants the EV Charger.

In the US, they sell ram trucks and a couple small European brands like Alfa and Fiat.

But yeah...sell what exactly?

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Fiat is dead in the US. Most (if not all) of the dealerships are closed.

[–] beelzebum@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

And minivans

Shit, even the new Wrangler Rubicon STARTS at $81k.

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

If Stellantis was serious about this, they’d cut out the middle man and sell direct.
