While different today, slurring while speaking was a great Canadian political tradition. They were all drunk.
Have they started to point that DEW they used on Biden and Kamala, on Trump now too?

As was introduced to me (not sure if identical in USA), breaches of duty of care law fall under three categories: incompetence (not illegal, though you should lose your job), negligence (can be illegal), intentional (always illegal). So you can see why they try so hard to appear incompetent when they're breaching their duty of care for us each and all. Lets them get away with murder.

Sorry to disappoint anyone who hasn't watched the video yet, but it doesn't look anything like what's being implied by the description given by the Daily Beast or by Harris' team. They make it sound like he had a mini stroke on stage or something, when it looks more like he was reading off a written speech someone made for him and tripped over a sentence that took him mildly by surprise. If anything it looks like the same Trump interrupting himself mid-sentence that we've seen for decades.
It's not a great moment in speechmaking history, and it would be nice if he did step down for health reasons, but I didn't see anything there that I haven't seen hundreds of perfectly healthy people do when reading from a card.
I didn’t even watch the video, but from the text in the post it seemed likely that this is overblown.

“Concerns” is absolutely not the correct term to be using. “Hopes” would be much better.

Ok, I won't. The president passing changes nothing, the party is doing all of these things, this is all longstanding goals of theirs, the president just hijacked it, and has since lost his marbles and they are holding his hand. They still plan on stealing elections, and are in a position to do it now, there is no one to stop them, and the opposition to them is still run by unpopular sold out corporatist hacks that can't reliably win a fair election, let alone rigged ones. We are FUCKED.
We could take it back in the succession fight, but we won't because we allowed the people that brought us Hillary, Biden, and Kamala to remain in control of the party, soon to force aristocrat newsome on us. It's fucking pathetic we still listen to these ivy league hacks, and trust them, but that's where we are at, with leaders that see popular reform as the enemy, not the fascists seeking to rig elections.

My friends MILs last conscious experience was screaming for her deceased parents in the hospital while vomiting and shitting blood (cancer).

I'd rather not. Our saving grace in this Project 2025 bullshit is Trump being a clueless clown. I do not want someone even moderately more competent or less dementia-addled taking his place.
Best case scenario: massive blue wave in the House, Trump dies, Vance is impeached, Democratic SotH takes over. Anything less than that, and we've got another MAGA puppet who makes fewer mistakes.
The only way out of this is to get popular reformers in the democratic party, aggressive ones, that know how to build and run a political machine. There is no way out with the establishment running the opposition, but that's where we are still.
The fascists need a central figure to rally around though. A power vacuum might make them implode on themselves. Obviously, as VP, Vance would take the presidency. But Trump's minions all ass kiss because he's so easy to manipulate into getting what they want themselves. Vance will either need to behave the same way, or his cabinet might fall apart. Also Vance doesn't have the cult. No one in particular does but Trump. And there's plenty of in-fighting going on already. Maybe they pull themselves together and maintain the momentum. But, at the very least, Trump's death would be messy for the remaining administration.

"Might" being the operative word, and I don't wanna roll those dice when line of succession is established. The cult only matters during the election. Handing the reins over to someone who shows no sign of breaking from the manipulators, but is much less likely to fuck it up by being a narcissistic geriatric idiot, seems unwise.
If you're banking on disrupting the cult, the strategic time would be late in a (blatantly unconstitutional, yet inevitable) 2028 run. They already have the power now and, again, line of succession is predetermined. If Trump dies in office, there's no clamoring for the presidency, it's Vance. He's no mastermind, but he's not a doddering old fool. He'll faithfully enact the will of his handlers without gaffes and senior moments.
If there's gonna be a fascist puppet running the country, I'd rather it be a bumbling and incompetent one. At least he'll screw up his orders from time to time.
Sure, this makes sense, but it's far from certain that's how it will go. This is all speculation anyway, but I expect there will be dramatic struggle and competition to get Vance's ear. By many accounts he is not well liked nor much valued among trumpists, it is possible he knows it, so it very well could distract or impede them from doing more direct harm to American citizens. But either way, as things are and going as they have been, I don't think it's wise to bide tine til November. How many more people will have been disappeared by then? Trump dead or not, something has to happen that restricts their ability to operate, and soon.
Anyway I heard some doctor estimate he had 4-5 months to live, 2 months ago. I hope he was overestimating. But then we've heard all this hopeful talk before.

Nah. That ‘trump derangement syndrome’ they’re always going on about. It’s projection. Just like everything else. No MAGAs care about anyone other than trump. When he dies the fracturing of the right will be incredible.
But it won't matter until the election. I'm all for this death, but I'd prefer it be after a blue wave that claims the Speaker of the House, with the ability to impeach Vance.

Meh, after watching the clip, I wouldn't even say it was bad. Just false hope in a click-baity title. I wouldn't call it as much as a slur as a memory lapse of what he was supposed to be talking about. Started reading and basically said oh shit is this real?
A memory lapse makes you forget the word, not slur something unintelligible. He went back to normal quickly, but something happened.
"Sparks" implies that he has not been exhibiting health related issues (I refuse to call them "concerns") for over a year now.
Just give him a few hamberders and a couple Red Bull to wash it down with. He'll be all good.
