Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.
Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.
That's it.
Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.
Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.
Rule 6- Regarding non-TIL posts.
Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-TIL posts using the [META] tag on your post title.
Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.
If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.
Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

My uncle took his own life when he was 19. He didn't leave a note. He didn't warn anyone. Just one morning my grandmother walked in and saw him hunched over on his bed completely pale, all the blood drained out of his face. There was a glass of cyanide in water on his bedside table.
It broke them. Neither of my grandparents recovered. Years later I was staying with them for a while and I overheard my grandmother say "we have our son back".
Every suicide is like that. It's like a bomb that shatters the lives of everyone close to you. It isn't a solution. It doesn't end the pain. It just passes it on to everyone else. But nobody would do it if the pain were bearable. “Suicide is not chosen; it happens when pain exceeds resources for coping.” There is no blame, no judgment, only tragedy and pain.
But people who survive and find help Will tell you that it gets better. That they're glad they survived and that recovery is possible So if you are thinking of suicide, know that it is the worst possible option, no matter how hopeless it seems. There's always another way.
Maybe part of this trend is more people being murdered and passed off as suicide.
Boils down to US labor laws, healthcare, maternity leave for both parents and income distribution.
Let's not forget social media, climate change, being told the world will collapse when they get older, tHe ecOnOmY, Gun violence....
The only thing this "boils" down to is the world has gone to utter shite thanks to those who came before.
I mean, who is it? Is it more my enemy or my friend?
You shouldn't categorise people into enemies and friends. Everyone can be your friend.
That's just naive in this context.
Im afraid of you don't look at others and see yourself, you are already dead inside.
You should look inside yourself. At what level would your mind accept that you are at war? At what level would you accept that losses to your group are acceptable if lesser than your enemy? Keep in mind, if your answer is none, then the enemy wins via attrition.
Who is my enemy?
That is for you to decide
Transgender individuals are at higher risk for suicide relative to nontransgender people
With the steadily intensifying pogrom against the LGBTQ community, particularly in academic settings, this cohort is deliberately being pushed to the brink by state officials intent on cleansing them from the population at large.
We lost a neighbor to suicide last year. The impact on the neighborhood has been substantial. So many lives touched in so many tangential ways.
My brother-in-law killed himself years ago. The effect on his family will never go away, like he threw a stone in a pond and the ripples never end.
Human beings are social animals. Most of us are disconnected from our "tribe" or "herd". We aren't meant to exist like this. The oligarchs have designed a system to make everyone hate each other ... its working as intended.
Everyone is isolated watching corporate propaganda on magic boxes. No safety net, no community. Move from wage slavery location to propaganda consumption location in an enclosed box.
Human beings aren’t built for this lifestyle.
I have looked at my own life, and if I could choose one realistic change that would improve my quality of life, it would be more genuine (read: non-transactional) social connection. More friends, and more time with my friends. More sense of community.
We weren't evolved for this.
For thousands of years we were hunters and farmers and such, working hard in the summer and hibernating in the winter, saving night time for relaxation and fun (yes I am vastly simplifying and am aware of the exceptions).
So of course people are freaking miserable as drones for the 24-365 corporate hive.
BUT PROFITS ARE UP, UP, UP! STOCK MARKET 50k BABY
this is a great point. i always feel like i want to give up, but i feel like its literally just because im expected to be a corporate robot. despite having many issues of my own, i still really want to stick around. i love the world, i love nature, i dont want to stop experiencing it, but every day i go to work i lose all hope and its so hard to keep going.
Something critical to note is that help is not really out there. This is the kind of news article that usually gets people to post 988, but if you’ve called 988 you know how much of a joke it is. They will “triage” you, where you either get the cops called to take you to hell/inpatient or you spend half an hour plus on hold for someone to say “sorry that sucks :(“
Inpatient institutionalize increase suicide rates after release. You get maybe fifteen minutes of actual “treatment” while the rest of it is being treated like a criminal. Good luck keeping your job after disappearing three days without being allowed to access your phone!
It amazes me when I see TikToks and videos from patients in inpatient facilities in other countries. In the US, wanting to kill yourself means that you are a horrible criminal and you will be punished for it.
I went to the hospital with ideation once, told them I had the plan, the means, and the desire. I was drunk as shit, which tended to be the times I was most suicidal. The intake guy was like... let's just sober up a bit, you don't want to be here, you're not suicidal. Told me how bad it would get if they admitted me. For a while after that I was pretty pissed that he basically turned me back out coldly, then after time I realized he saved me a huge cost and burden. He was right.
You know what stopped the suicidal thoughts tho, getting sober, and having a kid slammed the whole book shut. I actually had to hit a therapist up because my only real coping skill was contemplating suicide, had to learn others.
You forgot the part where they will charge you ~$1200/day to "hold" you against your will for 3 days.
The hospitals don't really help, either. I was made to feel almost worse than i did just being depressed.
The ones for children are even worse. Zero accountability. Adults with no reason to ever be supervising a child.
The society must persist...I am so sorry.
Epstein did not kill himself. Nor did Seth Rich or Deborah Palfrey, Micheal Hastings, or Marilyn Monroe. really...
